Still Strong Buyers in Local Real Estate Market

The current real estate market in Visalia, Tulare and Exeter still reflects a very strong buyers market. The new home market continues to have a significant impact on the resale market as builders offer more and more incentives to get their homes sold. Private sellers need to ensure more than ever that they are pricing their homes to sell. This means looking at not only competing resale homes, but new subdivisions as well and then pricing their home accordingly.

Waiting to Buy?

Many people are waiting on the sidelines to buy, thinking if they wait, prices will continue to go down. While nobody can predict the future of housing prices, our advice to people who are waiting would be to make an offer at what you feel is a more realistic price. With the supply of listings so high, and with a good buyers agent on your side, you can get tremendous deals by negotiating the price down, rather than waiting. Remember, the list price of a home is not set in stone. Smart buyers are buying now at discount prices. And many buyers are able to negotiate in buyers closing costs as well.
